More people are definitely somewhat intimidated when it comes to sex toys that are not so easily defined or have somewhat of a taboo associated with them such as anal sex toys. Another example is the basic intimidation with the idea of strap on harnesses and dildos. Sometimes the lack of knowledge and education about these sex toys can lead many to exclude them from their normal sex toy shopping range, but that should not be true at all because these types of sex toys can be used by anyone and envoke lots of fun sexual enjoyment.
The basic premise behind what people refer to as a "Strap On" consists of a harness for which one of the partners wears whether around their waist or sometimes around their thighs and the actual phallic sexual toy inserted into the harness referred to as common dildos. There are so many varieties of strap ons which most can be used fairly universally with standard dildos. If you are a beginner looking to try a new strap on then we recommend buying a beginner strap on kit which includes all the basic essentials and sometimes extra attachment dildos.
For the more advanced avid strap on lover there are the wonderful Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock Strap On harnesses and dildos which provide superior quality and more control over the dildo so they do not slip or move around during intercourse.
Strap on sex toys can be used anally or vaginally, but we do not recommend using both at the same time as you can transfer bacteria from the anal cavity and cause infections and problems when exposed to the vaginal cavity as well. We also recommend a good lubricant anytime you are using your strap on dildo to make sure your partner is fully relaxed and comfortable during sex. Make sure the lubricant you choose is compatible with the material in your dildo so it does not damage the material.
Once you are finished with your strap on sex toys, they should be easily cleaned with soap and water or a good antibacterial sex toy cleaner before being stored in a safe place free of moisture.
